Reserving a Static IP through the HomePass® App

Although not typically required, it is possible to reserve a static IP address for your devices in the HomePass app. By default, devices use dynamic IP addresses which are assigned by the network at the time of connection and will change over time. Static IP addresses do not change which can be useful when an external device, website, or service needs to remember your IP address.

To reserve a static IP through the HomePass® App:


iOS
  1. From the home screen, tap the menu icon at the bottom-left hand corner.
  2. Choose the Advanced Wi-Fi Settings at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Tap on New IP Reservation.
  4. Select your desired device.
  5. If desired, you can edit the name and IP address of the device or just tap Done.
Android
  1. From the home screen, tap the menu icon at the top-left hand corner.
  2. Choose Adaptive Wi-Fi.
  3. Tap on the Gear icon to open Advanced Settings.
  4. Tap on Reservations and Port Forwarding.
  5. Select your desired device.
  6. Select Device name or IP Address field.
  7. If desired, you can edit the name or IP address of the device or just tap Done.
